Shawnee Roberson is the co-founder of Power of One Foundation, a nonprofit based in Orange County, California, dedicated to serving and empowering underserved communities. She serves as secretary of the board & operations director of the nonprofit. Her work as a humanitarian reflects her unwavering belief in compassion, action, and the power of unity. Prior to founding the Power of One Foundation in 2019, she served as the operations director of another Orange County nonprofit, No One Left Behind, for 5 years, providing food assistance to low-income families and the unhoused community.

Beyond her journey in the nonprofit sector. Shawnee is a vibrant storyteller, poet, and multi-talented creative whose heart beats for imagination, community, and connection. A Montanan by birth and Californian by choice, Shawnee brings her deep love for nature, family, and the ocean into everything she creates—whether it's a children's book, a painting, or a humanitarian initiative. With degrees in both theater and English, Shawnee's voice is as expressive on the page as it is on stage. 

Her work is infused with wonder, warmth, and purpose, drawing from a rich background in the film industry, where she has worn many hats—including actor, casting assistant, assistant producer, & project advisor. Her artistic journey reflects her fearless pursuit of meaningful and thought-provoking storytelling. As a mother, Shawnee is discovering the world anew through her two toddlers’ eyes, an experience that has inspired her latest venture into children's literature. Her debut children’s book, The Sky Isn't the Limit, invites young readers to dream beyond what they can see—an ethos that Shawnee lives by.
